BEST MAN

If you knew Chris in high school, you knew Trevor. Joined at the hip since 7th grade, pretending to be a band, spiking each other’s hair for the Freshman dance. They nicknamed each other “Special”, and briefly forgot their real names. After high school, their bodies moved hundreds of miles apart, but their hearts did not. Chris played Trevor’s bride down the aisle with a song in 2015. He picked Trevor as his Best Man in his Marriage & Family class in 2006, and never changed his mind.

MAID OF HONOR

A friendship that began in 7th grade, with Alli’s guitar pick earrings and Alyssa’s signature scalp-tight ponytail. It continued through high school (Alyssa traded in the ponytail for a fully restored 1968 Ford Mustang – big power move), through college (Alyssa is a Forever Student™, currently at work on her PhD in Education), and into adulthood (her 2 year-old regularly FaceTimes "Alla" for a funny face or Baz sighting). You know the old story: Your girlfriend has a friend she likes to hang out with, and you have to hang out with the friend’s boyfriend while the ladies are together. You play Mortal Kombat together. You watch every single Kurt Russell movie. You send each other your scores from the New York Times games every day. He 3D prints things that make your life easier and he doesn’t even complain. You’re best friends now. Tale as old as time.

BRIDESMAID

Caitlin is what you might call a perfect friend for the apocalypse. She can sew, knit, and crochet. She bakes, she cooks, she tends a garden. She has an impeccable internal compass, and is tall enough to spot danger / all of the sale signage at Nordstrom. Alli asks her once a year to explain her job, but just take our word for it: she's some kind of real fancy scientist and WILL circle back to your email.

Ellery went to Lakeview Junior High and Righetti High School with Alli and Alyssa, but was a little too cool for them since she was a cheerleader, water polo player, AND had highlights in her hair. Don't worry – in adulthood, she has maintained overachiever status by being the mother of three boys, co-owning a wine label in Texas, and letting her husband fall asleep at all of Chris and Alli’s parties.

She's Scuba-certified, she’s got a degree in Kinesiology and a few Canadian celebrity impressions down pat, but if Nicole looks familiar, it’s probably because she’s been shooting weddings with Alli throughout California for the past eight years. If you’re looking for an easy conversation starter, ask her about the time she took Alli to a San Bernardino emergency room for heat stroke at 10pm.
